I had always dieted and when I was really doing well with it, I would exercise to aid in the weight loss. Unfortunately, when I stopped the diet, usually the exercise stopped with it. I never found something that I stuck with. I have joined gyms, but that was just a waste. I would either not go, or once I was there, I had no idea of what I should do. Also way too easy for me to get board. My biggest struggle is my weight and my biggest frustration is how to MAINTAIN an ongoing healthy lifestyle.
These issues always made me feel very negative about myself. Definitely did not have a positive self image, very self-conscience and guilty about what I was doing to my body. My aches and pains, especially with my lower back, had me feeling older than my calendar years.
I tried LIFW based on a Groupon I saw online. I had never tried a personal trainer and it was worth a shot. I had lost weight and I was looking to take the last 10 off and maybe find a way to begin an exercise routine that I could maintain. I enjoyed my classes, and the challenge, but being a person that is not comfortable with attention i was not sure it would be something i would continue. Then I found the classes. Perfect. I have never been so physically challenged yet I felt like I was still okay to do things at a pace comfortable for me. I love how the classes are always different, always challenging, and the instructors and the other people are so nice and genuinely supportive. That was over over 2 years ago and now and I finally feel like I have found a sustainable and extremely effective exercise routine. I couldn’t be happier with it….okay maybe I could, if we removed Burpee’s.
I have never felt stronger or healthier. I simply feel so much better. I no longer have aches and pains and I have had NO back issues since I started with LIFW. I would never have thought I could accomplish half the stuff we do in these classes, which makes me feel really proud and positive about myself. I still struggle with my weight, but I have embraced what was taught in the 21 day challenge, and I truly believe, in time, that this too will be a struggle I will put behind me.
