Here at LIFW we follow a certain code, that has allowed us to help the people that join here become the strongest most successful versions of themselves. It’s not just about working out, because in its simplest form thats basically picking something heavy up and putting it down and can be done anywhere.  Here we aim to change the most important muscle of all, and it lays between your ears.  We don’t just change you physically, we change you from the inside out.  Following this code will help you become fitter and stronger, while helping us continue to make better people for all of the world to enjoy.

1.)  There’s no such thing as a “Free Lunch”

  • If you are expecting results to come easy and quickly you are mistaken and in the wrong place. We have the expertise and methodology to get you in the best shape of your life. Long lasting results takes time, effort, and sacrifice. If you are willing to put in the work then results will follow.

2.)  Show up, Don’t Quit, and Ask Some Questions

  • One of the biggest reasons people don’t succeed is because they give up. They get discouraged, lose motivation and stop showing up. The best advice I can give you, is always show up for your workouts. Ask us questions about what you’re doing, the more you learn the better suited you’ll be to continue succeeding not just here in the gym, but anywhere. We are some of the most knowledgeable trainers in New York, and we LOVE teaching, so ask 🙂

3.)  Add to the Recipe…Don’t Take away from it.

  • The best part about LIFW is the people that come here.  They are the true inspiration that we all follow behind.  At any given time when you come to our gym the people working out there could range from the elite professional athlete to a soccer mom.  The point is there is always someone here that works harder than you, eats better than you, and is there for you to draw inspiration from.  So we expect you to add to our environment, don’t take away from it.

 

4.)  Make your walk consistent with your talk.

  • A lot of people like to talk about their goals and their plans to be successful.  A good amount of those same people disappear shortly after.  Don’t be one of those people, if you say you’re going to do something, do it.  Walk the walk.

 

5.)  Have fun!!

  • The truth is simple. I don’t know about you, but if you’re like me when things are fun, you’re more likely to work harder at it, more likely to show up for it, and you will enjoy the process a hell of a lot more than if its not fun.  We definitely LOVE what we do and have a lot of fun doing it.  We have no doubts that if you give us some time you will have fun too.
